Entrepreneurship Networking Night

On Monday, Feb. 3, the Windward Network invites you to attend Entrepreneurship Networking Night, featuring special guest speaker Mick Ebeling, CEO of Not Impossible. 
Recently named by Fortune Magazine as one of the Top 50 World’s Greatest Leaders , a recipient of the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian of the Year Award and listed as one of the world’s most influential creative people by The Creativity 50’s, Mick Ebeling has sparked a movement of pragmatic, inspirational innovation. As a career producer and filmmaker and now founder and CEO of Not Impossible, Ebeling harvests the power of technology and story
to change the world.
Mick founded Not Impossible based on the principle of “Technology for the Sake of Humanity”. He and Not Impossible are continually working to develop a multitude of projects that utilize technology to solve a wide range of fundamental human needs.
To be held on the second floor of the Center for Teaching and Learning, the event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a networking reception. Mick will speak at 7:30 p.m., and will then take part in a Q&A.

Internships offered through the Windward Network provide meaningful Summer experiences for current students (rising Juniors and Seniors) and college-age alumni in a variety of different fields beyond the classroom. Participants have the opportunity to gain valuable insights into their industries of interest, develop skills, cultivate professional connections, and strengthen their resumes, all while receiving academic credit.
This past Summer, 60 students and alumni participated in internships throughout Los Angeles, in fields including engineering, finance, medicine, and broadcast journalism.

Windward at Work

Our online mentoring and professional support platform, Windward at Work, now has over 700 users! Through Windward at Work, students and alumni are able to seek guidance from mentors (Network Advisors and others) who have signed up to help assist in areas ranging from building a compelling resume and preparing for interviews to making introductions within their network.
Additionally, students and alumni are able to search for and apply to both internship and job openings through the platform.
