Originally from Trinidad, Sorzano received her primary instruction from New World School of the Arts, The Miami Conservatory, and The Dance Theater of Harlem. She attended the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program and in her junior year was invited to join Ailey II.
Sorzano has been a member of Complexions Contemporary Ballet, The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Morphoses, TU Dance, and BODYTRAFFIC- additionally she has performed as a guest artist with Benjamin Millipied’s LA Dance Project. Sorzano has performed in principal roles with the Ailey Company and in a wide variety of concert works, including noted choreographers, Ulysses Dove, Dianne McIntyre, Hofesh Shechter, Kyle Abraham, and Ron K Brown. As well as, with recording artist Wynton Marsalis, Sweet Honey in the Rock, Destiny’s Child, and Rihanna. She has been a guest artist on “Dancing with the Stars,” a cast member of Chicago’s acclaimed Goodman Theater’s “Crowns,” and starred as the principal dancer in the independent film “You Me and The Circus.” When not performing Sorzano enjoys teaching both nationally and internationally.
Genna Moroni graduated from the L.A. County High School for the Arts and magna cum laude from UCLA. She attended intensives at the S.F. Conservatory of Dance and Gaga workshops through Batsheva Dance Company in Israel. Moroni performed the works of Barak Marshall and has continued to assist him choreographically since 2010. In June 2012, Danielle Agami invited her to be a founding member of her dance company Ate9. Since joining the company, Moroni has been fortunate to develop and tour Agami’s repertory both nationally and internationally. As of May 2017, Moroni received her official certification as a Gaga teacher after teaching under the mentorship of Danielle Agami since 2013.
