Why Work at Windward School?

At Windward School, we believe that great work comes from people who are inspired to do their best. Our employees enjoy rewarding work and meaningful challenges in an inclusive work environment. Our faculty and staff are engaged, dedicated, and student-centered.

Windward School is located in West Los Angeles in the neighborhood of Mar Vista. Los Angeles is known for its outstanding weather, multicultural neighborhoods, and myriad cultural activities. The outdoors is woven into the fabric of the area—from alpine mountains to the desert to the beach, all within a 100-mile radius of central LA. There is something in Los Angeles for everyone.

Our campus is comprised of 9.5 acres, has modern bright buildings, and contains a large football/soccer/baseball athletic field. It is a place of community for our students, faculty, and staff.

We have approximately 140 full- and part-time employees. Our compensation package will match up with any school in our industry. We offer a full range of benefits from medical to life insurance to a retention program for employees employed five years or more. We believe in supporting our faculty with opportunities for professional development and advanced degree funding.

We support new employees with mentoring programs that help assist in acclimating them into our community as well as allowing time for reflection on teaching and work issues. New faculty enter into a three-year mentoring program and staff enter into a one-year mentoring program.
