8th Graders Design Simple Machines for Mar Vista Playground

During the month of May, 8th graders completed their Final Project on science, which was to design and build a prototype of a playground for Mary Vista that contains simple and compound machines. The students then published a multimedia proposal of for their playground design. The students completed their designs by hand, in Notability, or in an online 3D printing software called tinkerCAD, and then built their prototypes out of k'nex, VEX, other materials, or 3-D printing their structures.
