The Windward campus and programs enjoyed today are the result of the generosity of those who came before. Today’s Windward community is responsible for ensuring a strong future for the next generation of Windwardians.

 

The Windward Fund supports our community by providing substantial funding for Financial Aid, Research & Development, and Program Enhancements. Like all independent schools, Windward relies on contributions to the Windward Fund every year from Trustees, parents, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, faculty, and staff.

Major Gifts, often called Leadership gifts, are large contributions, usually in the six, seven, and eight-figures, that are used to make significant capital improvements to facilities and programs. Windward is deeply grateful to those with the ability to give a commitment to philanthropy who can step forward and set an example of generosity for the entire community.
 

Gifts to endowment are an investment in the long-term financial health of Windward School. Endowment Funds are held in long-term investments with the principal remaining untouched, which creates a permanent source of revenue for the School. An endowment fund is structured to grow over time through reinvestment of interest and dividends earned. The Alumni Endowment Fund serves as the Senior Class gift, enabling families to honor their graduates and provide a lasting legacy at Windward.
