Ways to Give

Your cash gift is tax deductible within the guidelines established by the IRS. Cash gifts can be made by check or can be charged to your Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Credit card gifts can be made online at www.windwardschool.org/give.

Gift matching is a way to increase the value of your own charitable gift through your employer. Corporate Matching Gift programs are a great way to double or triple your gift. Simply send us the appropriate paperwork from your employer’s Human Resources Department, and your gift to Windward School will be matched according to your company’s guidelines. We will take care of the rest. To find out if your company has a matching gift  policy, please enter your employer's name below.

 

A gift to Windward of appreciated securities entitles the donor to a charitable deduction for its full current market value, without paying the capital gains tax on the appreciation, which would be required if the securities were sold for personal gain. Please see below for stock transfer instructions.

Should you wish to make a donation of stock to Windward School, please contact an Advancement Office member (listed to the right), for DTC instructions to provide to your broker.

Please notify the Advancement Office with the stock name you are transferring by completing this form; it may take 3-4 weeks for Windward to receive stock donations.

Giving a gift of real estate, such as a personal home, vacation home, undeveloped property, or a farm, can be a highly effective philanthropic and financial strategy. To discuss the tax and other benefits of making a gift of real estate, contact Susan Marx, Financial Aid Director, at 424-289-1005.

We welcome gifts of goods or services that may provide a budgetary savings to the School to fulfill a particular departmental need. Per IRS guidelines, the School will provide a thank you letter substantiating your in kind gift. Please consult with your tax advisor to identify the tax benefits specific to such a gift.
