The pursuit and implementation of new ideas has been a hallmark of the school for more than four decades, resulting in a relentless search for new and better ideas that have made Windward into a leading independent school and a model for academic progress.

Windward Athletics creates opportunities for scholar-athletes to learn and compete at the highest level while focusing on personal growth, commitment to teamwork, and the pursuit of excellence.
Community
Partnerships are at the heart of Windward School, whether among alumni members of the Windward Network, active volunteers of the Parent Guild, or civic organizations in our neighborhood of Mar Vista.

Since its founding more than four decades ago, Windward has continued to develop and prosper thanks to those community members, volunteers, foundations, and other friends who have given generously to ensure the continuous advancement of the school.

Windward's Middle School Repertory Dance Ensemble is a program for Windward’s most dedicated intermediate/advanced level Middle School dancers.

Quron Clarks

Quron Clarks

QURON CLARKS of Little Rock, Arkansas was raised in sunny Los Angeles, California, where he began his dance training. He was able to refine his craft at Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (Class of 2014) with additional training at the Lula Washington Dance Theatre School. Quron went on to study at the Institute of Arts Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain. He graduated in 2017, in the institute’s inaugural Bachelors course. While pursuing his degree, Quron continued to perform with five professional companies and numerous commercial jobs. After graduating, Clarks took his dance to sea to work with Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Creative Studios. Quron Clarks is now back in Los Angeles as a performing company member with Lula Washington Dance Theatre and a teacher for the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts.

Laura Miller

Laura Miller

LAURA GORENSTEIN MILLER is a choreographer. “A bright, distinguished voice in dance" according to the LA Times, Miller has premiered work at venues around the world, including at The Joyce Theater, Lincoln Center, The Royal Opera House, UCLA’s Royce Hall, The Getty Center and The Broad Stage. Her choreography has been set on the American Ballet Theatre, The Milwaukee Ballet and Bodytraffic, among others. Miller has choreographed numerous animated films including the Oscar-nominated Puss In Boots, Madagascar 3, The Addams Family, and Rise of the Guardians. Miller has also choreographed augmented and virtual reality projects for New Frontiers at the Sundance Film Festival, Microsoft, and the Future of Storytelling. She is the founder of Helios Dance Theater, a graduate of CalArts, and studied at the Laban Center in London.
