Visual & Media Arts

Studio Art

The studio art program provides students with a rich array of traditional practices in two-dimensional visual arts, the foundation of which is drawing and composition.

Photography

Photography students practice in analog and digital media, and explore a wide range of genres, methods, and techniques.

Graphic Design

Graphic design students apply their design skills to packaging and branding, layout design, information, and web design.

Media Arts & Film

The essence of the media arts program is time-based storytelling. Sound, animation, film, and video are explored as independent narrative art forms and for how they work together.

Sculpture/ 3D Design

In the Sculpture/3D Design program, students use a variety of materials and platforms to explore 3D art-making. Students work with paper, plaster, twine, clay, and other sculpture materials to build projects in physical space.

Exhibits

The Visual Arts & Media Department presents The Installation Project at Windward, an annual artist-in-residency for installation and new media artists to create work in an exciting educational setting.
