Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Jermaine has always been passionate about the arts. It wasn't until Jermaine was sixteen years old that he realized the Performing Arts was where he needed to be. While attending Cass Technical High School, Jermaine began studying dance under the direction of Anthony Smith and theater under the direction of Tony Award Winner Marilyn McCormick. Continuing, Jermaine furthered his studies at The University of the Arts where he obtained his B.F.A in Dance and worked with respected choreographers such as; Sidra Bell, Gary Jeter, Kim Bears-Bailey, Ronen Koresh, and Molly Misgalla. Jermaine attended programs at The Joffrey Ballet School on scholarship and University of the Arts Summer Studies. While attending these programs, Jermaine received training from world-renowned teachers and choreographers including Arturo Fernandez, Liz Imperio, Desmond Richardson, Yusha Sorzano, and Chehon Wespi-Schopp. After graduation, Jermaine entered the professional field as he ventured to Las Vegas, NV where he danced with Las Vegas Contemporary Dance Theater under the direction of Bernard Gaddis. Jermaine performed the works of Rennie Harris and the late Alvin Ailey. Jermaine also took a chance on the commercial world and tackled Los Angeles. While in Los Angeles, Jermaine has been able to perform and be featured in national commercials for brands like Pepsi and appear on television on major networks. Jermaine is looking forward to creating more and sharing his gifts with the world, his choreographic journey started in Las Vegas and has since blossomed and he’s excited to explore the many directions he can take to create a cultivating experience for all to witness. Currently living in Los Angeles, Jermaine is a working professional in Film/TV, Dance and so much more.
