Windward Debate Starts Season with Strong Showing

On September 28, The Wildcat debate team kicked off its season at the Western Bay Forensics League Tournament hosted by Peninsula High School. Debaters tackled a range of topics on trade tariffs, impeachment, voting as a moral obligation, standardized test scores in college admissions, and veganism.

Five Parliamentary debate teams and one Lincoln Douglas debater represented Windward, including Sam Siminou '21 and Emma Green '21, Alonzo Meallet '20 and Ian Farish '20, Trevor Lamishaw '23 and Henry Nieves '23, Jack Samet '23 and Luke Gialanella '23, and Meyi Wang '23. Amanda Solomon '23 and Riley Madden '22 placed third in Novice Parliamentary.
