Just in time for Spring Break, students gathered on Foley Field to celebrate the School’s first-ever Holi festival—an energetic and joyful event that marked the arrival of spring with color, music, and community.
Holi, also known as the Festival of Colors, is a cherished South Asian tradition that celebrates love, joy, and the triumph of good over evil. At Windward, the celebration came to life as students, faculty, and staff joined together to throw vibrant colors, dance to upbeat music, and immerse themselves in the spirit of togetherness and renewal.
This exciting new tradition was made possible by the South Asian Affinity Group, whose members worked thoughtfully to share the cultural significance of Holi with the wider community.
Thank you to everyone who participated—and a special thanks to the South Asian Affinity Group for bringing this meaningful celebration to campus!
