Truman Pauley ’23 Joins White Sox Organization

Windward Communications

Windward alum Truman Pauley ’23 is taking the next big step in his baseball journey, after being acquired by the Chicago White Sox as part of a trade with the New York Mets.

A right-handed pitcher and Harvard graduate, Pauley was selected in the 12th round of the 2025 MLB Draft after an impressive collegiate career. In 2025, he led the Ivy League in strikeouts and opponents’ batting average, ranked among national leaders in hits allowed per nine innings, and earned All-Ivy League honorable mention and All-Tournament team recognition. Along the way, he carried a no-hitter into the ninth inning against Princeton and set an Ivy League Tournament record with 13 strikeouts in a single game, all while studying mechanical engineering.

White Sox general manager Chris Getz cited Truman’s on-field upside and intellectual approach to the game as key factors in the decision to acquire him, noting the organization’s enthusiasm for developing his pitch mix and long-term potential.

Truman has been assigned to the Single-A Kannapolis Cannon Ballers for the upcoming season!
