As Virtual School has progressed, so too has the School’s approach to providing stimulating digital connection. Beginning November 9, the Windward Theater Area held the second of its week-long Artists in Conversation: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion series’. Dedicated to sessions where students learned from and interacted with esteemed playwrights in discussions and exercises centering around playwriting and creating an inclusive narrative, the series ended on November 13 with a culminating final panel discussion open to the entire Windward community. There, guest panelists and participants discussed representation in media, inclusive storytelling, and playwriting.
Said Jordan Fox, Theater Area Lead, on the second series, “Although we are just beginning this work, we are committed to our own education as well as the growth of our students. Getting to know our guests during the panel discussions has been so inspiring and we look forward to pursuing this new platform in the future.”
