Stories That Connect Us: Tales at the Table 2025

Windward Communications

On Monday, Nov. 10, Windward hosted its annual Tales at the Table, one of the community’s most beloved events. The evening invited students, parents, faculty, and staff to come together for an all-ages celebration of storytelling, connection, and belonging.

Set in a beautifully transformed Lewis Jackson Memorial Sports Center and featuring a deliciously curated meal by the CulinArt team, the event began with a welcome from hosts Henry K. ’30 and Saira Rahematulla ’28, followed by opening remarks from Head of School Sarah Beck. The evening continued with a lineup of speakers representing every part of the Windward community, including Zaynah Ismail ’26, Windward parent Dave Marrujo, Miles Shimanovsky ’26, and DJ Gay, Associate Director of Athletics and Boys Basketball Coach.

Taking time for more immediate connection, guests also took part in table conversations, sharing reflections with one another before hearing from Ava Torres ’29 and Gabe Baez, Director of Information Systems, who closed the program alongside the student hosts.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this incredible evening possible. Tales at the Table continues to serve as a joyful reminder of Windward’s shared values and the power of storytelling to bring people together.
