Senior Makes Windward Athletic History with Undefeated Tennis Season

Senior Skye Belker accomplishes a rare feat in Windward Athletic history by having an undefeated, 29-0, record during the Fall Girls Tennis Season. Losing a total of 28 games, winning 14 6-0 sets and winning the Gold Coast League Playoffs, she is now setting her sights on the CIF Individual Tennis Tournament in late November. Beyond her own accomplishments, Skye serves as one of three captains of the Girls Varsity Team, which is headed to CIF Division II Team playoffs starting next week.

“Through her leadership, poise, and positivity she is inspiring to both her coaches and teammates as an example of how a multi-sport scholar-athlete should conduct themselves on and off the court,” said Athletic Director Tyrone Powell.

In addition to her incredible accomplishments in Tennis, she is attending Princeton University on a Basketball scholarship. Congratulations, Skye! We're so proud of you!
