This past December, Windward’s Theatre Area captivated audiences with its performance of Into the Woods. On Sunday, May 5, Cole Kaller ‘25 and Abby Ribakoff ‘25 were honored as finalists for Best Actor and Best Actress at the 2025 Jerry Herman Awards! The Jerry Herman Awards are a celebration honoring achievement and excellence in high school musical theatre in Los Angeles. Fifty six schools were involved and Cole and Abby were two finalists out of 112 performers, both performing songs from our spring production of Into the Woods in front of the audience at the Ricardo Montalban Theater in Hollywood.
“We are so proud of Cole and Abby and we’re blown away by their performances at the awards show,” says co-director Jordan Fox. “Their poise, talent, and artistry are beyond bounds and we are so excited for what finds them next. Putting on this show was the highlight of our year and we feel so lucky to be able to revisit it with our beloved actors. What a wonderful way to wrap up the year!”
