Windward Communications
On September 21, Windward's Upper School Robotics team competed in the High Desert League VEX Scrimmage at Sultana High School in Hesperia, CA. The match marked the start of League competition, and while it didn't count in overall standings, it was a good indicator of fitness for the season.
The Omnicats took five teams to the 20-team scrimmage, with one Windward squad placing first overall after eight rounds of competition. During the matches, students got a chance to really test their mechanisms and programming, finding what worked and what didn't over the course of the scrimmage. The team has work to do before tournament play begin in two weeks, but they'll be ready!
Go Omnicats!
