Middle School Speech and Debate Team Excels at State Tournament

In April, Windward's Middle School Speech and Debate Team participated in the State Championship Tournament–a five round competition that involved researching and preparing a total of eight debate cases on four distinct topics. After two months of hard work, the results spoke for themselves. In a pool of approximately 300 students across 100 teams, Windward's Felix G. '29, Morgan L. '28, and Kavi M.'29 absolutely stole the show. Not only were Kavi and Morgan ranked as the 26th and 9th best speakers, respectively, but the team as a whole also made it to 7th place in the state after an impressive 4-1 end to the day–a first in Windward MS debate history! Congratulations to our debaters!
