Middle School Math Students Honored for 2019 National Math Exam

The results are in! In November, 174 of Windward’s Middle School students challenged themselves by taking part in the American Mathematics Contest 8! Featuring 94,675 students from close to 1900 schools around the world, the contest was administered by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) to promote the development of problem solving skills. Our Upper School students will have the opportunity to participate in the AMC 10 or AMC 12 on January 30, but for now, read on to see how our talented Middle Schoolers fared!

A score of 19 and higher = top 5% nationally (London scored 18)

A score of 23 and higher = top 1% nationally

A score of 9 and higher = top 50% nationally

Windward’s top 25 scores were all 11 and higher! Fantastic job, Wildcats!
