Live From Home, It's Windward's Virtual Arts Night!

Windward Communications

On Friday, May 8, Windward debuted its first Virtual Arts Night, organized by Junior Oliver Grynberg. With the support of Kevin Newman and other admins, Oliver planned the entire 19-act, two hour show, including MCing the event and performing himself.

"The Arts community at Windward is incredibly important to me. When we shifted to remote learning and concerts and performances were canceled, I was extremely sad. I wanted to find a way to celebrate the talents and the hard work of the artists at Windward and hear from them one more time this year,” said Oliver.

The evening featured an array of different genres including musical performances, poetry readings, songs, original films, and even some amazing magic tricks! From Middle School students to Seniors and faculty members, the performers lit up the virtual stage and put on an amazing show for the Windward community.

“This experience has been incredible. This was a super special event for not only those watching, but the performers as well,” said Oliver.
