As COVID-19 continues to impact students the world over, some are looking to do their part to help provide relief during this challenging time. One such student is Windward Freshman Jaden Anselmo, who recently put together a food drive to benefit students from low income families.
“I watched on the news how hundreds of LAUSD students are going without meals because of the school closures. I did some research and found some non-profits taking food for students in low income families. I posted on social media and messaged all my friends to come and drop off food. I also got my mom to message her patients to come by and drop off food. Together we had enough food for 20 families.”
Jaden’s service learning endeavor caught the eye of local Fox 11—to view his interview, click here.
Great work, Jaden!
