Windward's approach to learning goes far beyond the classroom. As an alternative assessment for the first half of the year in Honors Physics, students took to The Bridge and assumed the roles of investigators at a simulated car crash scene. They were challenged with the task of determining whether or not a driver had been speeding prior to the collision. To do this, the student investigators needed to make measurements on scene, research car specifications online, and utilize their knowledge of kinematics, forces, energy, and momentum.
That's what we call a collision of the minds!
