The pursuit and implementation of new ideas has been a hallmark of the school for more than four decades, resulting in a relentless search for new and better ideas that have made Windward into a leading independent school and a model for academic progress.

Windward Athletics creates opportunities for scholar-athletes to learn and compete at the highest level while focusing on personal growth, commitment to teamwork, and the pursuit of excellence.
Community
Partnerships are at the heart of Windward School, whether among alumni members of the Windward Network, active volunteers of the Parent Guild, or civic organizations in our neighborhood of Mar Vista.
Giving
Since its founding more than four decades ago, Windward has continued to develop and prosper thanks to those community members, volunteers, foundations, and other friends who have given generously to ensure the continuous advancement of the school.

Holiday Cheer Comes Early Thanks to Windward Service Learning and Allies For Every Child

November at Windward means the School once again had the opportunity and pleasure to partner with Allies for Every Child to provide families with meals and treats that they could enjoy in the comfort and safety of their own homes!

Windward families contributed to this amazing cause by way of creating gift baskets filled with non-perishables for Thanksgiving Dinner and/or donating gift cards to help support Allies families.

Uyen Do, Operations and Volunteer Manager of Allies for Every Child, said “On behalf of Allies for Every Child and our families, I wanted to thank you all for your support this past Saturday (November 20). Together, you all handed out baskets, pantry food items, and gift cards to 107 families. I know that you made their weekend extra special and we are so thankful to have Windward as a part of our community."
