History Teacher Publishes Article in Journal of Asian American Studies

Recently, History Teacher JP deGuzman published an article in the Journal of Asian American Studies, one of the premier academic journals for Ethnic Studies. This special issue is about the 50th anniversary of the founding of Asian American Studies. The former president of the Association for Asian American Studies asked JP to write the article, focusing on part-time academic labor in universities.

Not only does the article tie-in to JP's work at Windward by speaking to issues of equity and belonging, but JP was one of three non full-time professors to be featured in the journal and the only high school teacher.
