Cross Country Wraps Up Strong Regular Season with CIF Berth

It's been a banner year for both our Boys and Girls Cross Country teams, who have seen sustained group and individual success. 
On November 2, the cross country team competed at Paramount Ranch for Gold Coast League Finals. The Boys finished 2nd to qualify for the CIF Prelims which were held on November 11. The Girls team also earned a spot, finishing 3rd overall.  
Van Lindelof '25 and Kyler Zanuck '25 earned 1st team All-League Honors for their 2nd and 5th place finishes respectively. David Estrada '25 finished in 9th to earn 2nd Team All-League Honors also. Monica Kusserow '25 finished 11th to earn 2nd team All-League Honors.
At the CIF Prelims, the Boys team finished 3rd in their heat, qualifying for the CIF Finals, to be held Saturday, Nov. 19. Van finished in 4th place with Kyler coming in at 9th.
The Girls finished 7th in their heat, and while they didn't qualify for CIF Finals, they nonetheless closed their season with a strong showing! Taryn O’Day and Kennedy Richard led the way, finishing 33rd and 34th respectively.
The Boys team will compete at CIF Finals at Mt. San Antonio College on November 19 for the chance to advance to CIF State Championships on November 26 in Fresno. Competing are Van Lindelof '25, Kyler Zanuck '25, David Estrada '25, Max Kobayashi '25, Aman Granados-Puuvula '25, Justin Merritt '25, and Andy Balasa '23.
Congratulations to our Girls team on their incredible season! The team consists of Monica Kusserow '25, Taryn O’Day '25, Kennedy Richard '25, Asha Gopinath '23, Alina Newman '23, Talia Zipkin '25, and Charlie Matthews '25.
