On March 22 and March 23, Windward partnered with the “I Have a Dream” Foundation for a special Service Learning event, "Cereal-lously the Best." With Spring Break about to begin, the Windward community was asked to provide two or three nonperishable food items for families during Spring Break who primarily get their meals when they attend school. The community delivered, donating items such as pasta sauce, oatmeal, peanut butter, canned veggies/fruit, and more, ensuring that families didn't go hungry while school was out of session. As a thank you for their generosity, all donations were met with a tasty bowl of cereal!
"We sent out the call and, yet again, the community answered," said Robin Pickett, Director of Windward Network. "It's so rewarding to see our community come together for such an excellent cause."
Thank you to everyone who donated, as well as student project leaders, Griffin Brown '26 and Emmet Corwin '27.
