9th Grade Honors Physics Launches Rubber Band Rockets

9th Grade Honors Physics recently held a rocket launch from the 2nd floor of the 400 Building to the 2nd floor of the CTL. "The rubber band rocket assault on the castle was a culminating lab experience to cap off a lesson on projectile motion," explains Simon Huss, Director of the STEAM Program. "After learning how to characterize and predict the trajectories of projectiles, students spent a day exploring the range of rockets with various angle and rubber band settings. Then students set up their launchers on the 2nd floor of the 400 Building and competed against each other to try and hit a wooden castle and figurines set up on the balcony if the CTL"
