The Cum Laude Society is an organization that recognizes academic achievement in secondary schools for the purpose of promoting excellence, justice and honor. "What an incredible group of Seniors we have,” says Assistant Head of School and Collegiate Division Director Kevin Newman. “Today was about celebrating the hard work and intellectual curiosity each of these students have demonstrated throughout their Windward career. It was especially nice to be able to recognize their achievements in front of their family who has supported them all along the way."
The Windward School Charter recognizes our School as one of a select group of approx. 350 member schools in the United States and abroad. This year's inductees were selected on the basis of being in the top 10% of the Senior class.
"This was a difficult year in that so many Seniors are exemplary students,” explains Molly Branch, Dean of College Counseling. “The eleven students inducted not only have taken and excelled in the most demanding courses offered at Windward, but also they have gone above and beyond the minimum curriculum to explore their academic interests."
