 | Senior Culminating Experience | | In 2010, a group of Windward faculty and administrators took a careful look at senior year and how students spend their last few weeks at Windward.
Faculty overwhelmingly supported the idea of extending the time in which seniors are expected to attend non-AP courses to April 24. This change honors the time and effort each student invests in their non-AP courses and creates a more universal start to final Senior Projects.
The group also looked at creating a more diversified set of offerings for the conclusion of the year. These include Senior Initiatives, Senior Intensives, and Senior Internships. Finally, for the first time, we are offering year-long research seminars on topics suggested by our faculty.
Based on the number of students signing up, these Honors Research Seminars in History and Science have proven to be immensely popular. |
