Middle School Math Students Honored for National Math Exam 2012

The results are in from last November's middle school American Mathematics Contest 8. Over 170 Windward middle school students challenged themselves with over 150,000 students from over 2200 schools around the world. It is administered by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) to promote the development of problem solving skills. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place students in each level of math received gold, silver, and bronze certificates respectively and the overall top scorer received an MAA pin. High school students participated in the AMC 10 or AMC 12 in February.
