|At the heart of the Performing Arts Department is a commitment to process; to helping students learn and experience what it is to be an artist. Through sequential learning, students develop discipline and focus to enable them to put newly acquired skills into practice. The Performing Arts Department builds ensemble by offering a wide range of courses in dance, instrumental and vocal music, music theory, and theater. All programs offer advanced classes to allow dedicated students to excel in a safe and nurturing environment that recognizes risk and the growth achieved through challenging our comfort zones. Ensemble building is at the core of our philosophy.|
Students taking Tech Theater worked this week to construct new lights for the theater. The lights are part of a larger general lighting plot. Abby, Carly, Izzy, Kevin, Mark, Annabelle, Andres, and Imani not only built the lights, but hung and tested them Saturday, September 14.
